EVENT: Caledonia Ramblers hike/snowshoe

MORE DETAILS: The Caledonia Ramblers will be hosting a snowshoe/hike to Zig Zag Ridge, near Crescent Spur on Sun., April 30.
This trip is rated very strenuous and goes over challenging and varied terrain beginning with an unmarked route along an old logging road, and then through an old clear cut and finally through an beautiful forest. By the time participants have reached an alpine meadow, they'll have climbed 1,000 metres over 8 km. Weather pending, the payoff will be pristine alpine lakes and stunning vistas in every direction.
Participants are asked to be properly equipped with the appropriate footwear, snowshoes and ice cleats, as well as sufficient warm clothing and rain gear, lunch, snacks, water and/or a hot drink.
Meet at the city hall parking lot by 6 a.m. (The drive is 150 km to the trailhead). The carpool fee is $12.
