**November 30-December 1**
Saturday
My day started at the Festival of Trees! I was so excited to go back. I’ve started to really fall in love with the whole Festival and sort of regret not going here every year before!
I walked around, grabbed some pictures and talked to a lot of people.
I then went upstairs to check out Nove Voce’s performance of the ‘How the Grinch Stole Christmas.’ Their voices were absolutely stunning and I wish I could have stayed there longer to enjoy it! It’s pretty amazing what people can do with just their voices!
I ran into Glenn and gave him an elbow high-five, (If you know, you know. #CondorPride), and caught up with him for a bit before heading over to the Art Gallery to check out the craft fair!
I made the *super long* walk over to the Art Gallery and was instantly greeted by all the amazing vendors there. Like always, the friends I have made over the weekends full of craft fairs, were there and I got to say a quick hi.
The stuff they were selling at the craft fair was great and once again, I wish I brought my wallet but at the same time, I’m glad I didn’t hehe.
After the Art Gallery, I made my way over to the OverHANG to check out the climbing competition that was going on. It was crazy cool. I’ve never tried climbing before but after watching that, I would love to try it.
The format of the whole competition was really cool. There were 30ish different climbs and each one got harder and harder and the goal for the climbers was to accomplish a climb in the least amount of attempts, and then move on to the next. Everyone was cheering everyone on and the atmosphere was really cool!
I made a quick stop at Art Knapps to check out their spin the wheel deal weekend that they had going on and then went and said hi to Carol who was on location at Visions Electronics!
I then went across town to the Hart to check out the Spruce Kings Show Home with Vilma, who was on location!
The house is beautiful and Vilma and I did a video tour of the place. Check CKPG FunChaser on YouTube to watch it!
After, I went to the oval because it finally opened! (I love if the oval, if you haven’t noticed!)
I was so so so so excited to go skating. And the ice was amazing for the first day! I got to skate some laps (which felt great) and grab some pictures. All in all, I had a BLAST!
Sunday
I spent more time in the Hart this weekend than I have in months. I started the day at the Kelly Road Craft Fair. I had to park in the Heather Park parking lot (which isn’t *that* far away), because the Kelly Road parking lot was PACKED.
I had never been and the last time I was actually in Kelly Road, I think I was three. The only thing I remembered after 15 years was the ramp.
Okay. The school was PACKED with so many great vendors, and people! It was crazy! Thankfully, I was able to move around, grab some pictures and talk to vendors.
I finally understood what people meant with that craft fair being so big, because it’s huge!
After hanging out there for a bit, I headed out to Willow River for the craft fair they had at their community hall.
The drive was amazing. It was quiet and peaceful and the sun was shining off of the snow. I had the music playing and I just wanted to keep driving.
I’ve never been out to Willow River so it was a nice treat to go to the small community, and hopefully sometime this summer, I’ll get the chance to drive down the Upper Fraser Road and explore all the little villages along the way.
When I went to the Ferndale Craft fair a few weeks ago, I met so many great vendors who told me they were going to be here. I am so glad that I went out because I had a great time chatting with everyone there and really enjoyed the drive out and back to town.
After my venture out of town, I went back to the Festival of Trees because it was in its final hours before wrapping up for the year. I sat and enjoyed the dances performed by Judy Russell and grabbed a few final pictures before the Festival wrapped up.
I was definitely very bummed that it came to an end, but I will definitely be back for next year’s because I loved it so much!
Okay, now I have to go catch up on university because I am a very behind university student!
See you later PG,
