The first snow has officially fallen! It feels like just yesterday that the station was so hot from the summer sun, and now I’m sitting with a space heater at my feet! Yesterday was the Prince George Cougars Mega Jackpot 50/50! In partnership with the Northland Auto Group, the Canadian Breast Cancer Society and Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation the winner went home with a whole bunch of cash. It was Pink in the Rink for the Cougars last night, and although they lost 4-1 to the Kamloops Blazers, they filled an arena with spectators who wanted to raise awareness about the disease. The Cougars face off against the Blazers again tonight, except hopefully they come home with a victory.
Today was a slow day for Funchasing. The Malispina Elementary Craft Fair took place this afternoon and posed a perfect opportunity for shoppers to start their Christmas gift search. The UNBC men’s soccer team takes on the University of the Fraser Valley tonight at 5pm and the Cougars puck drop is at 7pm.
Tomorrow I’ll be touring Prince George for the 2nd Annual Canadian Home Builders Association Parade of Homes. It starts off in the Nechako Subdivision at the Prince George Hospice Society Dream Home and tours around some of the most beautiful and state of the art houses in the city. Make sure to tune into the Funchaser social media to follow along and see what the houses are like.
Sincerely,
Levi the Funchaser
