Happy turkey day everyone! Last night Ana and I went to our first Sprucekings game of the season as they played Surrey in the Rolling Mix Concrete Arena. We handed out loads of Sunrype snacks to keep spectators fueled for their cheering. At the first intermission we got to host turkey bowling. That’s right, the bowling ball was the frozen turkey! Pins were lined up on the ice and contestants competed for a hundred dollar Save-On Foods gift certificate. All participants got to keep their turkey and also got a $25 GC for Save-On to help with their thanksgiving dinners. Huge thanks to Save-On and Homesteader meats for making it all happen!
It’s a bit of a slow thanksgiving weekend as far as events go. Today I headed over to Books and Co for their weekly childrens story time. It is also the end of the season for the Little Prince Train at the Exploration place. Looks like winter is right around the corner and we will once again be dreaming of it opening and enjoying ice cream and train rides! The Cougars play against the Kelowna Rockets at Vegas night this evening! I’m the instand host so make sure to come down to CN Centre for a night full of hockey, prizes, giveaways and more!
Tomorrow I’ll be heading to the Queensway events market and then enjoying Thanksgiving. Make sure to take a moment to pause and think about everything you’re grateful for this weekend! Gobble gobble!
Your Funchaser,
