I’ve been pretty busy lately! This entire week was spent at the Telus Cup, which was an amazing event that took so many people to put on. Teams traveled from all across the country to compete, and every single member of teams that I met were all so excited to be here in PG and so grateful for the opportunity. Every evening, Ana (Our prize girl) and I were handing out 2 for 1 Booster Juice coupons and Sunrype products like juice boxes and fruit snacks!
Today I started my morning at the World Tai Chi Day celebration at The Exploration Place. This is a time that is globally agreed upon to all do Tai Chi at the same time, in unison. Such a great turn out and a really amazing thing to watch.
After that, I headed to the Pet Fair on La Salle Road. Not only was there ample adorable animal faces to say hi to, but they also had an amazing collection of treats and accessories for you to spoil your pet with! I met a wonderful pup who was born completely deaf and mostly blind and who recently had his ear chewed to pieces by another dog. But this little guy was such a trooper and just wanted some much-needed attention! It always breaks my heart when I find these amazing animals and I can’t adopt them myself. I hope he, and all the other little guys looking for homes, find families that will take care of them.
I then headed up to the Walmart parking lot where Crime Stoppers was having their annual Spring Shred-It event. They bring in a big truck and suggest that you bring all your old personal documents to get shredded properly. This process helps to stop identity theft and doesn’t even require you to do the dirty work!
Have you visited the Spruceking’s show home yet? That was my next stop and I’m going to tell you that it’s worth the trip! This is a gorgeous home, full of well-utilized space, natural light, and beautiful decor. The home could be yours if you purchase a ticket (each are $100) before Monday! The draw will be held May 2nd, and there’s still tons of tickets left so make sure to grab one!
Another thing that was happening today was the walk for Alzheimer’s! This is such a great cause and they really made it a fun place for people to bring their families while not only raising money but also awareness.
Tomorrow I’ll be heading out around all of Prince George with my team to find people participating in the Canfor City Wide Spring Clean-Up. So if you’re participating tomorrow, let me know where you’re going to be! I want to get some photos and give you some awesome prizes for helping to keep Prince George spick-and-span!
