A shivering Saturday didn’t keep the Walk and Talk club from heading out on another trail adventure!
Every Saturday a kind group of people meet up for an educational talk on various topics, which is followed by a brisk walk within Prince George.
Today’s topic of focus was mental health and how everyone must break from their shell if they are in need of mental health help. We are living in a world where there are handfuls of different ways to cope with a variety of problems. Don’t be afraid to stand up and talk about anything going on in your life. There’s been plenty of campaigns in Prince George which are supported by mental health associations. One of which was held by the Canadian Mental Health Association, and it was the #GetLoud campaign.
These campaigns will continue to support people through any dilemmas they are facing in which they need an ear lent their way to hear them out. The Walk and Talk group has been going for a few years now, and these people have become a support for one another and that was made loud and clear during the talk on mental health. They see each other on a weekly basis and they are each others shoulders to lie on, and if you have something similar to this in your life, use that as a coping mechanism if need be!
