I’m not going to lie. I was a little disappointed with the weather today. With the beautiful weather we had yesterday, I was hoping for another day of great sunshine! I even didn’t bring gloves with me… which I regretted terribly. Why did I regret not bringing gloves with me? You’ll see…
I started the day off at the Skijoring competition that was going on at Exhibition Park. I was really excited to check it out! Before leaving the station, I ran into Ethan, who was heading the same way to report on it.
I left the station first.
And he parked the station car before me.
How. How did that happen?
I… I sort of got lost.
Okay, okay, I knew where I was but I didn’t realize that the competition was happening where the oval used to be; I thought it was at the rodeo arena. Anyways, I did a nice big tour of the whole parking lot, psyched my best friend by thinking I was stopping at the oval, got stuck behind a bus, and pulled into my parking spot just after Ethan did.
He did not hold back on making fun of me about it. I mean, I did deserve it. I got through a bunch of intersections before he did.
But, on the bright side, I made it there and I was super excited to check out this crazy event.
When I was waiting for the competition to start, it started to snow. And get windy. And I was really regretting not bringing my gloves and not wearing wool socks. Jeez Sylvia, you should really look at the weather forecast before you start work…
Shout out to my momma for bringing me her gloves after coaching. And my best friend. They saved my fingers❤️
So once my fingers were nice and warm, the competition started!
It was crazy. And cool. And I am so down for trying Skijoring one day.
If you don’t know what Skijoring is, here’s a picture:
Sylvia… what’s going on?
Okay, so you have somebody on skis (or a snowboard), and someone riding a horse. The horse is pulling the person on skis (or snowboard) and they go through a course. It’s really cool, and if you missed out, make sure to check it out next year, you won’t regret it!
I took a lot of pictures, and every time someone went, I wanted to try it even more!
After spending the morning at the competition, I made my way up to the Hart for the bouncy castle fun!
I was only there for a little bit, because I was going to come back when Captain Candoo (IDK how to spell his name) was going to show up. Apparently, he’s quite popular with the kids, and I wanted to get pictures of him with the kids.
I cruised around town for a bit, and then headed back up to see if Captain Candoo was there.
Unfortunately, he wasn’t there! He had an emergency and couldn’t make it.
BUT!
Kids were running around having a blast! I was taking pictures and then all of a sudden, I saw someone who I know! (I mean, are we surprised??)
Get ready…
It was Darren! The Darren Coogan!
I got to hang out with his granddaughters for a bit, and had a lot of fun going on bouncy castles with them!
After, Roger, one of the LA Promotions Employees got me to jump around on the bouncy castles. It was nice getting to be a kid again!
I then called it a day. I made my way back into the bowl, but realized that I needed a tea. So I stopped at Tim’s to grab one.
I went through the Drive Thru and to my surprise, the lady ahead of me paid for my tea! That was definitely the cherry on top to my weekend. I was so happy, I decided to pay for the person behind me. I hope that lead to a chain reaction of people paying for others!
Anyways, I would like to thank the really kind lady for paying for my tea! That was the best!
This Sunday was so much fun, see you next weekend! Also, have a wonderful Family Day tomorrow!
Sylvia, the FunChaser xx
