I think like most people, I was hoping that the day would be nice and sunny. A fall sort of day, not one where it was raining and cold. Oh well. It was raining and cold but I was not going to let that let me down!
I started the day at the Wilson’s Square Farmers Market at Pine Centre Mall because it was their last day of the season! I got to talk to some of the vendors. They were all disappointed it was cold, but still had smiles on their faces!
After the market, I went to Fallfest up at Art Knapps! I was really excited for this. I used to work at Art Knapps, and the staff have become really good friends of mine. I couldn’t wait to go to my old job as the FunChaser!
The parking lot was really full when I got there, but I was able to park near my usual spot, which made me happy.
There were so many people in the store and new plants. The store got new tropical plants in and I think the snake plant was CALLING my name. Since working there, I all of a sudden became the owner of over 20 plants. Am I a plant mom? I think so.
Enough of my plants! I got there, and there were lots of kids painting pumpkins, playing mini golf and painting their faces. It was so fun! My favourite part? The Special Olympics bake sale!
I got to play some mini golf, talk to lots of people and of course, take pictures! I, of course, had fun up there. AND I walked out WITHOUT any plants. Massive accomplishment everyone. Huge. My mom will be relieved that there won’t be another plant in the house… for now…
After Art Knapps, I headed to the PG Golf and Curling Club to try out some curling!
I’ve never tried curling before. Ever. Unless you count street curling.
Now everyone, let me tell you: CURLING IS FUN!! Super fun! I had a blast. I got to give it a try really quickly, but I didn’t have a team to play with. I took pictures for a bit until…
These people were waving at me from ACROSS the building. I had no idea who they were. No clue.
And then I realized that they were the girls who I used to babysit who are like little sisters to me, and they were with their mom. So then it made sense why they were waving at me. (I promise, I don’t need glasses!)
They were there to try some curling too! I got to play with them (and against them), which made it even better! We played for a good 30 minutes and we all had fun. Seeing them definitely put the cherry on top for my day!
Now, I am really excited for tonight! We (the fam and I) get to check out Rock the Rink! (You know, that figure skating show with Tessa and Scott) Make sure to check out CKPGFunchaser on Facebook and Instagram for videos and maybe pictures!
See y’all soon,
Sylvia, the FunChaser
