For some reason I was completely okay with waking up to a little rain. As I headed to work it did clear up a little and it actually turned into a pretty decent day!
Over at the Roll-A-Dome there was a Roller Derby Bootcamp and scrimmaging going on. I popped in and learned all about the game as teams battled it out. The camp was lead by both the “Easy Break Ovens” and “Flustercluck” of the Calgary Roller Derby Association and was a two day event. Some of the players will be off to Hawaii at the end of month for some more competition!
It wasn’t the busiest day for golfing but I thought it was the perfect day to get out and practice your swing! I was at the Prince George Golf and Curling club where I saw a few people out on the course but the driving range was empty! Hope everyone got a little bit of fresh air today and felt how nice it actually was outside despite how it looks with all those dark clouds!
This week is Science Odyssey week at Exploration Place! From 1-3pm young minds were put to work to create a contraption out of limited materials to protect a piece of tissue paper from getting wet when water is dumped over top of it! I helped fuel some of these minds with some SunRype snacks and hung out to see what cool creations were built!
The parking lot A at the UNBC was filled with all sorts of plants today for the David Douglas Botanical Garden 2018 Annual Plant Sale! It was the perfect opportunity to get some plants to start that garden you’ve always wanted.
Hope everyone is having a fabulous May Long Weekend, I’m going to try and get out and enjoy some sun if there is some tomorrow I hope you do the same!
