The weekend was a chilly one, with temperatures going into the minus thirties! Of course it is also the weekend after christmas and events were slow as bellies were full of food and christmas treats. With the combination of freezing temperatures and holiday relaxation mode, there wasn’t much going on within the community. Although, that’s not to say it was not a fun weekend! I hope everyone enjoyed the holiday break and had a Merry Christmas.
New Years Eve is the time to reflect on the 2017 year and make new goals for oneself. Your goal doesn’t have to be a crazy one but even a goal as small as taking 1 personal day a week to yourself could be very beneficial. Take time to relax and do what makes you happy in 2018! I wish you all happiness and prosperity into the New Year and of course as 2018 is right around the corner make sure to stay tuned for where I will be and what events you can attend.
There is a lot of exciting new adventures that I will be embarking on in the new year as well as some really cool giveaways and prizes 🙂 Speaking of fun events in 2018… I’m starting off the first day of the new year with a super fun event! On January first I will be at ness lake for the Polar Bear Dip. The Polar bear Dip is an event that happens every year and it raises money to send children and youth to camp. It costs $25 to dip into the frigid waters of Ness Lake with all proceeds going towards the Camper Sponsorship Fund. If you don’t want to take the plunge into the frigid waters then simply join me on cheering on the brave dippers 🙂 I will be there all day cheering on the dippers as well as handing out some Sunrype treats so make sure to come on down!
Kicking off the 2018 year with the Polar Bear Dip along with many more amazing events to follow! For more information on where I will be in the new year check out ckpgfunchaser.com for events and contests!
Happy New Year,
Ana the Funchaser
