A day that starts off with a beer party is a pretty good day! Today was Pacific Western Brewing’s 60th Anniversary and they threw a big party. From 11:30am to 2:30pm was their annual open house. This family friendly event had everything from free face painting, games, DJ and enough root beer to go around. Everyone over the age of nineteen got two free beer samples and the whole event was topped off with a free green-screen photo booth. Ana and I got to spend the afternoon doing what we do best, posting to social media, hanging out with all of you and dancing like no one’s watching. Once the open house finished up, we got ready to head back for the sold out show: PG’s own Audio Union, Trooper and April Wine. Tickets for the event went on sale in April and were sold out in 27 hours! Kyle Sampson from PWB organized the event and did a wonderful job. The skies were full of ash and smoke but he still managed to have an apocalyptic party. The music was great, the beer (although I didn’t have any) was cold, and it was truly a night to remember.
I’d like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who makes events like this possible. Volunteers like the UNBC women’s soccer team, employees of PWB and the security that keeps parties like this safe truly make nights like this possible. I’m so glad we could sponsor the event and partake in the fun, and I can’t wait for next year!
Sincerely yours,
