Today was such a fun Day I got to chase the Fun! by the way its Prize girl Ana today 🙂 Levi got the day off and it was my turn to go chase fun around town.
Today I started off at Books and Company and it was Story time Saturday! Every Saturday from 10-11am there is a Story teller ready to capture your attention and that she did ! We read stories, colour, practice our drawing skills, make crafts, all that fun stuff. The best part is that as long as you can sit still and listen to stories, your parents can hang out in Cafe Voltaire while we play! Their team of booksters are great storytellers and its crazy how someone can captivate your attention so well that your forget that you’re sitting in a group of kids on the carpet listening to a story!
I then Headed over to the Leah’s fight is Prince Georges Fight fundraising BBQ at the expedia cruiseshipcenters This Fundraising BBQ is all by donation this Saturday 11:30-2pm! And there is a Donor  MATCHING all donations up to $5000! So your $20 is $40 or your $50 is $100! The burgers were delicious and the Lemonade was squeezed perfectly !! So Leah has lost her fight with Leukemia in Canada. There is 1 last, very successful, treatment available and she needs money asap. This treatment in Settle has an 87% success rate. The cost is huge and every bit counts and even doubles!!! This BBQ in the first 30 minutes had already raised $400 just from phone calls! Also GREAT NEWS Leah has been approved to be funded for her $650,000 treatment as of this morning but  that’s only a fraction of her costs!Lets help Leah get the treatment she needs not only for her but for her 2 children, husband and family that have shown constant support and love for her ! If you wish to donate to this BBQ but can’t attend, you can email money transfer Jenny at jenniffer.m@hotmail.com (2 n’s & 2 f’s). Please make the password “Leah” or something easy for me to deposit. All donations here will be added to the BBQ totals and matched! If you have questions or wish to donate to this fundraiser please call Miranda 250-960-8229 or Jenny 250-613-1264 Also if you want to check out the facebook page click here https://www.facebook.com/events/345875029181871/?active_tab=abou
I then made my way over to Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park to partake in the evacuee free fun day! And fun it was ! There were bouncy castles, princesses, warrior characters, several vender, tons and tons of food and live entertainment ! Within the first 5 minutes of entering the park I just looked around and could see the joy everyone was sharing together. Prince George is such an amazing community and not only are we there for one another in the community but we are there for everyone !! I got the pleasure of talking with an elderly woman who had to evacuate her home in Williams lake and in her own words she said I have never been to Prince George but everyone is making me feel at home today. This was the first day she was able to leave her house and meet people at the park since she hadn’t known anyone in Prince George prior. NST provide free busing from CNC to the park at 11am and back at 4pm, Inflatable toys from LA Promotions and Tents for kids
Menchies Mobile provided free Menchie’s for parents with out of town ID with thanks to Levitt for providing power for them. There were Donated DJ Service from Entertainment Group ,  and Several local bands. Free hot dogs and all the fixin’s from Wood Wheaton Supreme, PG Soup Group is cooked up some chili and Costco just donated a pile of food! The vendors had jewelry for sale with proceeds to the Red Cross. And of course members of the PG community came to join in on the fun and also donated towards the evacuees.
I then Headed over to the American Crown Circus: Circo Osorio to see the magic happen! There is a motorcycle dance party, electrifying tightrope artists, high energy Kenyan acrobats, skilled aerialists, and hilarious clowns. I honestly feel like there isn’t anything these people couldn’t do , they are absolutely fearless and very talented! It was so entertaining, funny and enjoyable the showtimes for today are:
July 15: 3:30pm, 5:30pm, and 7:30pm
Now I am back at the station and on that note I want to end with saying that after a day like today I truly appreciate the home I live in with the generous and loving people I call my community. Like always please be sure to request Levi and I at your next event and follow us at:
