Wow. That was the craziest 24 hours of my life! Today was the Spring Arts Bazaar and the 2017 Northern Chilli Cook Off and my hands are sore from cutting up so many hot peppers, my legs are sore from standing so long and my heart is full of pride and happiness because my team was AMAZING! Last night we all stayed up till three in the morning making 500 mini cornbread muffins, cutting up all our vegetables and making our table decorations. Then early this morning we headed to start cooking only to battle a storm with winds that were blowing tents and cornbread away! I am so proud of my team for being such troupers and pushing through the weather until the sun came out, we had such an incredible time and truly bonded with the community. Our menu today included:
- A lemon sorbet to cleanse the pallet between tastings
- A mexican inspired chipotle chilli
- Homemade mini corn bread muffins with jalapenos and cheddar
