Another day of FunChasing has come and gone, but was it ever a beautiful day! I had the luxury of heading to The Exploration Place to meet with Christian and Christopher to learn more about the animals that call Exploration Place home. I got to snuggle with a snake named Rio, and chatted with a magpie named Lokey. What a time! I’ll be uploading a video shortly, but until then, enjoy some of the photos I’ve posted on social media.
They were also holding the Antique Appraisal fundraiser for the Huble Homestead Historic Site. People were bringing in items that had been passed down from generation to generation and were finding out that they were worth thousands of dollars! My favourite part was hearing some of the stories that these items have. History continues to amaze me!
After The Exploration Place, I headed over to Moose Hall, where the Prince George Cycling Club was hosting their 9th annual bike sale and swap. The doors opened at 11AM and they were explaining to me that they had over 120 people waiting at the door to get in! A portion of all the proceeds from this event goes towards building trails and maintaining them so people like us can get the most of them!
Also, this weekend is the beginning of Norouz, or Persian New Year! Shiraz Cafe is serving up some amazing traditional dishes in celebration of the new year so make sure to check that out! More details are listed on the FunChaser Facebook page.
Another cool thing that happened is that I got to go back to the SPCA to meet a bunny named Peanut. First of all, have you ever felt how soft a bunny is? Wow, talk about ideal cuddle buddy. Stay tuned on the FunChaser social media to find out more about this little guy up for adoption.
