Dear lovely people of Prince George,
I had never been to a carnival until today, and boy, have I been missing out! Today was the Downtown Winter Carnival just behind city hall and it was a wonderful time.
There was a s’more competition that included varying businesses from around town providing their very best recipe and techniques. There was multiple snow and ice sculptures, including and ice throne made specifically for The River and other etchings done to represent the other sponsors. There was a DJ blasting some bumbin’ (is that still a hip word) tunes and there was smokies and poutine and tons of other tasty snacks.
What was I doing? I had the pleasure of handing out juice boxes and granola bars to everyone walking by. A word of advice: if you are ever looking to make a friend, offer them a juice box, it is a definite way to make friends! I got to meet a ton of new faces today and capture some photos, which I will be posting on Facebook soon.
After the carnival, I headed to the YMCA to start my training for the Megathon on March 4th. The event raises money for children and families who need support to be able to participate in classes, workshops and events. The Megathon is a bunch of different fitness related activities performed by a team, and it just so happens that a bunch of us from the broadcast centre who wanted to do it. I’ve never done anything like it before, and I’m really looking forward to participating for such a great cause!

This will be a big week for me, as Penny the Promo Diva is away on a family vacation. Lots is in the works though, the Northern Lights Winter Wine Mulled Wine competition is on Saturday, the Spruce Kings Gala is coming up, and the Love Has Wings give away is happening this week too. So much to do, so little time! A vlog is in the works, so keep your eyes peeled, and don’t forget to follow the FunChaser page on Instagram for updates and stories about what I get up to and where I’ll be next.
Your FunChaser,
Levi
PS. If you know anything about me, you’ll know how much I love mascots. So, one could imagine how thrilled I was with the extensive collection of mascots at today’s carnival!
