First of all, have you seen all this sunshine today? Holy moly! Blue sky for miles, not a cloud in sight. No sir, I am not in Vancouver anymore!
The day started off at Chinook yoga, which was fabulous. Myself and the new prize girl Ana went to the free Yoga 101 for beginner class. It’s a workshop that takes place on the first Sunday of each month and walks you through basic poses, and why each one is good! They even provided us with an awesome little “how-to” sheet with diagrams so everything could be done at home. After the hour long session, I felt so relaxed, my joints felt great and I was super awake. If you’re looking to test yoga to see if it is for you, I would suggest taking one of the beginner classes. There is lots of opportunity to ask question and it’s a totally safe and unintimidating place to try it out when you don’t have clue what you’re doing. Anyways, I have now signed up for a one month unlimited class membership to try out all their classes. So I guess you could say I’m hooked!
*Side note: If you’re sick of the cold weather they also have hot yoga classes, which is basically like stretching in a sauna and it totally shakes the chill. 10/10 must try!*
After I finished the class, I headed down the block to the Masonic Hall for the annual OES Sweetheart Tea and Auction. The turn out was awesome! The live auction started at 1 o’clock and each participant was given a cute little heart shaped paddle to place their bids with. There was hand knit blankets, a wine rack complete with local wines, tons of gift cards and much more than was up for grabs. There was also an extensive collection of dessert to munch on and all of it was hand made and gourmet. Yum!
For the rest of the afternoon I’ll be prepping for next weekend, so if you have any ideas of events I should visit please let me know! Also, Ana and I will be at the Spruce Kings game on Thursday and the Timberwolves games on Saturday and Sunday. We will be giving away prizes so make sure to come introduce yourself, we’re friendly (I promise!).
Your FunChaser,
Levi
