What a day! It was the chilliest weather I have experienced here so far but I made sure to bundle up.
The day started up at at Otway to watch the Cross Country Teck BC Cup competitors ski there hearts out! I was excited to watch my little cousin Payton race (proud cousin moment) and it was wonderful to see everyone cheering on their teammates. After watching for a while and shaking my cow bell like there was no tomorrow, I headed down to the YMCA, where they graciously graciously gave me a complimentary pass to start training for the Megathon in a few months. I can’t wait to get my running shoes on and work at getting back into shape now that I’m settled into the new city. If you also go to the Y, and you happen to see me there, make sure to say hello. I’m really enjoying getting to know all of you! I then made my way to Ridge Side Art to partake in their “Cuppa Joe Art Journal to Go” workshop, where I learned tons of new collaging and scrapbooking techniques. Huge thanks to Christina for welcoming me into the studio and providing me with all the materials I needed to make my piece (Photo below!) After a day of running around, it’s time to have a quick break and then head out to the Way Late Play Date at Exploration Place. But first, my prize girl Ana and I are going for dinner at Betulla Burning on 3rd Street. Hopefully we will see you tonight!
I have felt so welcome in this new city, and I want to thank all of you for making feel so at home! It is a wonderful place to be a part of and I can’t wait to get more involved and get to know ya!
P.S. Tomorrow’s day of chasing fun will begin with the free Yoga 101 For Beginners Workshop at Chinook Yoga and then I’ll be going to the Sweat Heart Tea Auction. Will you be there too?
