Saturday December 10, a day Cougars fans won’t forget!
It was the 2016 Teddy Bear Toss game presented by Northland Nissan!
Of course with Teddy Bear Toss night, the place was absolutely buzzing and the CN Centre was absolutely jam packed for this spectacle!
There were great opportunities for PG to claim that elusive Teddy Bear Goal including a power play chance with just two minutes remaining in the first but they couldn’t connect!
FINALLY just six minutes into the second Josh Curtis netted one past the Thunderbirds, and away went the onslaught of teddy’s! It was literally raining fluff at the CN Centre, and the grins on everyone’s faces were absolutely shining due to the electric atmosphere!`
The game in itself was magical, as the Cougars scored the game winner with just 12 seconds remaining in the game thanks to Buffalo Sabres product, Brendan Guhle! The Cats walked away with a 6-4 win thanks to an empty netter as there were just a few ticks left on the clock, so a big win for the WHL elite!
