The Rollin Mix Concrete Raceway at Nitro Motorsports Park was host to the Smoke N’ Mirrors Big Rig Races this weekend!
Both of my uncles raced motorcycles, and drag cars so I was at the race track a lot when I was young. But I have never witnessed anything like this!
If you have never seen big rigs racing, you picture it, but can’t quite imagine it. Let me tell you, it’s exactly what you would expect, and it is crazy!
You see semi’s driving the public roads all the time carrying their heavy loads, or lumber, or any sort of cargo every single day. Take that cargo away and all the baggage that is necessary for the big rigs to do their job, and you have a raging monster roaring down the run way!
There was an impressive crowd on hand, and I won’t be at all surprised that it stays super busy like that throughout the summer time. It is a great venue for young, old, those who are intrigued, and good fun for the whole family!
