Today the Jim Pattison Broadcast Group rode the Heart and Stroke Big Bike around downtown Prince George!
By supporting the Heart & Stroke Foundation you are giving people a second chance, and creating thousands of survivors from the heart disease and strokes.
The Big Bike Ride brought us all together to support a great cause, while getting active. The Spread the Sunshine team rode together, sporting leigh’s, silly looking accessories, and noise makers to let Prince George see us, and hear us loud and proud!
There is nothing like it, a massive bike with 29 seats with pedals for every rider to stride along together. It stretches to what I could only guess is about 30-40 feet long, and if you want to get that thing flying, you could cruise pretty swiftly! Of course with the bike being that size, we didn’t ride on the sidewalk, no no no, the big bike rides along regular vehicle traffic. What a great experience, that I would happily take part in again!
The Heart and Stroke Foundation invested over $32 million in life-saving heart disease and stroke research in 2014, placed over 8,000 defibrillators in communities across Canada, funded the development of life-saving treatments that created 165,000 survivors last year.
You can donate ONLINE or take part by JOINING a team available in many major cities across Canada!
