The YMCA held their annual Healthy Kids Day today, and for the first time it was held at the Canada Games Plaza.
This is event is to promote active and healthy living for kids of all ages. There was an endless list of activities for the kids to indulge in.
Things available for the kids included: face painting, archery with paint on the end of the arrow, arts and crafts, bubbles, bouncy castles, hands on stage performances, a petting zoo, and even a chance to play basketball with the Spruce Kings.
Everyone that attended also had the opportunity to take part in a cycling class with CKPG salesman Bruce Siddal, and there was also a tent set up giving away free juice boxes and fruit!
One of the most exciting parts of the day for the little ones was when the one and only Ironman came out to meet everyone!
The event was extremely busy from the time it started all the way to the time it was over. If kids didn’t have smiles on their face, they had ice cream on their face; enjoying some dessert after their free fruit! A huge success for the YMCA putting on another great Healthy Kids Day!
