Today was very exciting I got to take the Durango on a road trip to Quesnel for SkyFest 2015! Already the day started out pretty awesome, but it only got better. Shortly before I arrived at the Quesnel Airport I could see the planes doing tricks from the highway, which could be a little terrifying unless you know an air show is happening. Yet as soon as I got into parking and into the area, I was wowed by the extent of people who showed up for this amazing weekend! Not to mention all the awesome volunteers on hand to help. I arrived just in time for the opening ceremonies, which invited the SkyHawks to parachute out of a perfectly good airplane while a local choir sang the American and Canadian national Anthems. As they parachuted they did tricks, which stunned the crowd. Then as I checked out the airplanes that were parked, The Snowbirds took to the sky for a practice run, but some of the older planes got into acrobatic mode. Super Dave took flight shortly after wowing the crowd as he and John did acrobatic feats then promptly raced the Jet Truck! It was really fascinating and very exciting to watch! I definitely recommend that you check out their website for more details on next years show here!
