I have registered for the River Muddy Dogs team, in the Mudd Sweat and Tears course. It’s happening in June and I am no way in enough shape. So Kharah suggested that I hike the Cutbanks. It sounded like a great idea, until I pulled up beside them. The announcers back at the station were giggling at my call ins. I brought a friend to get me inspired, and good thing I did otherwise I never would have made it to the top. It was a burning feeling all the way to the top, but despite my protesting and dragging my butt, we made it to the top. In 15 minutes to boot. I was feeling pretty good about myself until I realized that there were some people who were climbing up and down repeatedly. I am not ready for that yet! It was a good thing to go do and, as hard as it was, I would recommend it to anyone! Just wear shoes you don’t love because the sand really gets into them. Oh and also bring your water bottle, I left mine in the truck and regretted it!
