I got out to Tabor to watch the snowboarders practice. It was very chilly, I should have brought my mittens though. Shortly after parking the truck, a volunteer inquired if I knew where to go, to which I replied, “Not a clue”. Then with a smile they pointed up and said “Its a 10 minute hike up the hill”. Now a 10 minute hike doesn’t sound too bad, sounds kinda fun. I was wrong. Very wrong. It was slippery, and very uphill. The volunteers kept everyone moving and happy with funny comments and smiles. Once I arrived up the hill enough to get a good view of the action, I started taking pictures as the athletes took turns with runs through the course. The view was stunning and the sunshine was enough to make everyone forget that what comes up must come down. Or at least until the smells of BBQ filled the air, and I had to investigate. After a brisk slide/walk down the mountain I discovered the source of the delicious smelling BBQ! Then I grabbed a couple more photos and then I was off to the next event
