Happy Long Weekend!!
The day before Canada Day there is never too much going on and because it was raining it was pretty quiet! So I decided to help you all out with a few ideas on what you could do today instead of just staying home (Although that’s nice too)!
Idea #1 :
I headed over to Pine Centre Mall to do some shopping. Nothing like getting your errands done and buying yourself a little treat too! The mall had lots of different sales going on and friendly faces to run into.
Idea #2 :
The Exploration Place has randomly become one of my favourite spots in the city. Today was perfect for an escape to another world! It’s only $8 for kids, $11 for parents and they have family packages that will save you money. Once inside you travel back in time to see dinosaurs and all sorts of amazing things. Today I got up close and person with a bearded dragon and all the kids got to pet it! You never know what you’ll get to do at this cool spot PLUS they are open FOR FREE tomorrow on Canada Day for the public!
Idea #3 :
Luckily it wasn’t raining to hard today and the Prince George Farmers Market is in full swing rain or shine! Just along 3rd Ave downtown over a dozen local vendors are set up selling fresh food and locally made products both outdoors and indoors. It’s a great spot to stop today if you don’t mind a little mist, although I did see the blue skies trying to poke through so you might be in luck you just have to get there before it ends at 2pm!
I’ll be down at the park all day tomorrow celebrating Canada’s birthday and you should join me! I have some really awesome prizes I want to hand out!
