It was a wee bit rainy this weekend but that didn’t stop the fun!
I was feeling a little low on energy today right up until I walked into XConditioning for their 2018 Canadian Open Powerlifting Competition. I watched some seriously strong men and women showing off everything they have been working towards and they were bench pressing more weight than my body weight! It was really cool to watch and very motivating to get my butt lifting more in the gym!
Rain or shine, it didn’t matter. There was a group of amazing people out walking to raise money for a cure for Multiple Sclerosis at Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park. Right around the bandshell there was around a dozen tents set up with information, games, music and even a yummy Barbeque! I hope today really helped put another foot forward towards raising all the money needed!
My next stop was out near the Airport at the Blackburn Community Association for the fundraising to start phase 1 of building a new bike park! They had everything going on out there today with a BBQ, bouncy castles, bike riding and a silent auction with new bikes as part of it! They are ready to start phase 1 of the building process and hope to have phase 2 done and the park open by next summer! Can’t wait to see it!
Tonight is a big match up in the Prince George Senior Lacrosse League with the Lumberjacks taking on the Stylers. The game starts at 11pm at the Rolling Mix Concrete Arena and tickets can be bought at the door! Don’t miss out on seeing the talent these teams have as we are already half way through the regular season!
I really don’t mind a little bit of cloud this week it allows me to stay in and get some work done but lets hope for more sunshine next weekend!
