Now that it’s nice out there is so much going on every weekend so try to keep up!
I started this beautiful Saturday at the Season Opening for the Community Farmers Market! I was at Pine Centre Mall in the parking lot where they set up shop for the first time this Spring. By 10am they had me craving cupcakes, bannock and other baked goods but I also saw some very neat, local, hand made projects that I loved! They will be doing this every Saturday now for the rest of the season so stop by sometime!
Even as I drove to work this morning I think I saw at least three garage sales going on but the “Junk in the Trunk” had at least half of Prince George in attendance! This event was taking place in the CN Centre parking lot and anyone who signed up was selling their junk out of the trunks of their cars! I couldn’t believe the turn out this event had and I can’t wait to do it again next year and bring my wallet!
There is no better word in the english dictionary than “FREE.” Today all around the globe was FREE COMIC BOOK DAY! Wonderland here in Prince George was honouring it all day today and I went to see all the different comics they were handing out. Did you know they have a little mermaid comic book?? I learned that today and may have snagged one it was just too cute. Plus no better way to start getting excited for Northern Fancon Next weekend then catching up on some good comic reads!
IT’S FINALLY PATIO SEASON! Patio season is my favorite season and it should be yours too! I went to Mr Mikes today to celebrate it and visit with all the people lounging in the sun and eating. I gave them some gift cards, sunglasses and summer toys to have so they enjoy patio season as much as I do. Mr Mikes has some delicious summer salads and drinks to match the weather and you can come by to sit outside anytime now for the rest of the season!
Tonight is one of the biggest fundraisers for Wheelin’ Warriors of the North. They are hosting their Free Wheelin’ Dinner, Dance and Silent Auction and the money being raised is for the British Columbia Ride to Conquer Cancer. They have a beautiful set up for tonight’s event and you can still attend by getting one of few tickets left on their facebook page “Wheelin’ Warriors of the North.” The doors open at 5:30pm!
Can’t wait to show you everything happening in the city tomorrow enjoy the rest of your Saturday!
