Let me start off my saying I had the best Saturday. Not only was it blue skies and sunshine outside but I spent the day at the YMCA Megathon! I took part in four different classes that they offer, Rypped, Cycle Fit, TRX and Zumba! Everyone came out with SO much energy for such a great cause and we all kicked some serious butt! I am extremely exhausted but truthfully can’t wait until next year to sign up again and if you missed it this year be sure to check out our website ckpgfunchaser.com for more information on it and be on the list for next time!!
After having a little pick me up snack I headed over to the Civic Centre to check out the set up for tonight’s 25th Annual Wild Game Banquet and Fundraiser. They have done a great job getting ready for this event with over 50 different silent auction items including a brand new kayak!! All ticket proceeds will go to moose enhancements and moose related studies in Northern BC.
I don’t know how anyone could be bored tonight because there is SO MUCH going on!! I stopped by the Prince George Golf and Curling Club to take a peek at the Mad Hatter’s Ball that is happening at 6pm tonight put on by the Figure Skating Club. They have games, dancing, dinner, hat making and karaoke and tickets are only $35! The Prince George Golf and Curling Club always has so many events happening so be sure to keep checking out website to see what’s coming up!
March 11th
Sunday was a beautiful day, the skies cleared and it wasn’t freezing outside! So I headed over to Forest Power Sports to check out their free snowmobile test driving! They were cooking up some hot dogs and had plenty of snack for when you come back from your ride, nothing like ripping around in the snow and some free food to complete your day off.
My second stop way at the Prince George Playhouse for the 22nd Annual Cinema CNC Film Festival! Today was the last day of showings and they had 3 today, the 2pm Mason Du Bonheur was a French documentary with English subtitles about a young woman asked to make a film about her friend’s mother, a Parisian astrologer named Juliane. Tickets were only $8 a show or $21 for the entire day!
I must admit I was a big Pokémon collector as a kid, of course as a little girl would I only wanted the cute looking ones but my brother taught me what ones you actually want. Well today I had a flashback! I went to Wonderland and witnessed Pokémon games! Every Sunday in March they are held at 1pm and anyone is welcome!
I had the honor of meeting a lovely group of ladies today at the Prince George Public Library and they get together there every Sunday for knitting! It’s BYOK (bring your own knitting) but anyone is wel-come to come sit on some comfy couches and join!
