Today was the 17th annual Polar Bear Dip out at Ness Lake Bible Camp! Freezing, exciting, fun, and nerve racking are a few of the many emotions the Dippers were experiencing.ย The Polar Bear dip is an annual event held out at Ness Lake with the goal to raise money to send children and youth to camp. The Dippers pay $25 to dip and this year IRL was matching all of the money raised. Last year they raised $7000 and this year we managed to raise just over $7000 again!! Prince George is truly an amazing community and that was proven today with freezing temperatures and the sun bright as ever as our dippers took the plunge into the frigid waters of Ness Lake. After the Dippers took jumped into the waters they headed back inott the main lodge for some warm hot chocolate and cinnamon buns! This was one of my funnest events and a great way to begin 2018 ๐ I didnโt take the plunge into the frigid waters but I made sure to cheer loud and proud for our brave dippers. Stay tuned and maybe next year iโll be taking the plunge into the frigid waters of ness lake ๐
