A weekend full of appreciation to say the least ! The Prince George Spruce Kings held their ‘Drop the Mitts and Sock it to Em’ Event on friday night. The Rolling Mix Concrete Arena was packed of fans supporting our local spruce kings. They played an amazing game and in the top of the second period they scored their first goal and the crowd threw all of their bagged donation onto the ice. There were so many donated mittens, hats, and other warm clothing items on the ice you could barely see the ice, it was amazing.
The Prince George Cougars held their annual Teddy Bear Toss on Sunday and the CN center was full of people. In the first period the cougars scored the first goal and the fans threw all of the bagged Teddy Bears onto the ice. Once again the ice was absolutely covered and the amount of donated items was well over what I had expected. The weekend was full of support for one another within our community and Prince George is truly an amazing city to live in. Im proud to live in Prince George and HUGE shoutout to everyone who participated in theĀ fun this weekend!
