Another busy day is in the books! Today I went to:
- The R.E.A.P.S Annual Plant Sale
- The Elks May Day Parade
- The Prince George Rod and Gun Club Open House
- Sorokathon at ArtSpace
I will say that the two main highlights of my day included getting a new plat for my apartment from the plat sale, and getting to shoot a sixteenth century riffel! I know, two very opposite things, but equally exciting! I want to give Andrew at the Gun Club a huge thank-you for showing me everything today, and allowing me to try shooting!
The parade was pretty awesome too. Perfect weather made it a perfect day to get out and enjoy the sunshine, and there was a huge turn out along the route. You know what my favourite part of parades are? How they throw candy at you.
Sorokathon 2017 is an event put on my Dave Soroka, a guitarist who is raising money for music festivals having financial difficulty. He wants to make sure that no music festival in western Canada has to end, simply because of financial reasons. So, he is playing his guitar for 24 hours with no repeats and all original songs. Pretty amazing, right? I think his fingers will get a little sore.
Tomorrow I’m going to be live on-location at the Westwood Pub for the SPCA’s Puppy Pub Day. How can you say no to that? Bring down your puppy and support this amazing cause (Plus, I’d love to see you there!)
Sincerely,
Your Funchaser
