Well, let me start off by saying that today was a fist! This city chick found herself at the Annual Snowarama Memorial Poker Ride! You know what that is? A SNOWMOBILE FESTIVAL! Let’s be clear, I’ve never even been on a quad alone, so the notion of snowmobiling seems outlandish. I opted out of being on the vehicle itself and took photos and mingled instead. Huge shout out to Meghan and Chuck for really taking the time to teach me about what PGSC does, and how it operates. Also, the burger I had at the event was perfectly grilled, 10/10. The event had tons of riders come out to pledge donations for Easter Seals programs and services. My personal highlight was getting to watch all the little kids on there teeny-tiny sleds! for some reason I always get such a kick out of kids doing things that seem like grown up activities. Biathlon is also on that list incase you’re curious. After I spent a few hours out there, I ensured the incredibly snowy drive back to central PG and headed back to the Dance Festival because I just didn’t get enough the day before. I am still amazed by the variety of technique, style and personality in each performance.
Does these weeks go by faster than you could ever imagine? They sure do for me! I have a big week ahead of me, and I’m off to Vancouver on Wednesday and Thursday, so I’ll definitely make sure to keep you posted about that. Chasing the fun isn’t just limited to PG!
