This week has been full of firsts! I had the pleasure of co-hosting the morning show with Mike Benny on Tuesday which was a blast. I love getting to work with and learn from people who are not only well known, but also incredibly well respected in the industry.
Today was an absolute hoot. I got to spend the day at the SPCA hanging out with some kittens and puppers at their annual cupcake fundraiser. This event is organized to raise money that makes it possible for the SPCA to house animals in need during a transitional period before they find a new, loving home. These animals all have such a personality and so much love to give. One of my favorites today was a young cat named Pepper, who although is over a year old, is still almost as small as a kitten. She was so quiet and had such a sweet disposition that it was impossible not to love her. Another highlight today was a bull mastiff named Ziron. He was an absolute goof who pranced and bounced around the play yard. There are so many animals that I haven’t mentioned, but it is so humbling to hear about where some of them came from. Some are frost bitten from being neglected in the cold, others had their families move away. They truly come from different and unique backgrounds, just like us! So if you’re looking to add an addition to your family, make sure to check out the little guys who need a second chance.
It’s a pretty chill weekend in PG, but there’s a scotch tasting at Theatre North West, “The Last Romance” is playing and the outdoor skating oval has also reopened after some hard work and chilly weather. Are there any events that you know about that I’m missing on the Funchaser page? Submit it as an event! It’s free publicity and a great way to get the news about your event out there.
