The fight against prostate cancer, and the Ride For Dad took to the streets of Prince George today!
Over 100 motorcyclists joined together to remember those who have been lost, those who are struggling, and those who have conquered Prostate Cancer.
Men, women, and children alike take part in this event to support their loved ones. Every person in attendance that I spoke with has attended every Ride For Dad the past 6 years that has been held in Prince George. It’s also wonderful to see the support from the local municipality, as Mayor Lyn Hall and MP Todd Doherty led the ride through the beautiful city.
No form of cancer should be taken lightly, but the facts speak for themself when it comes to prostate cancer. One in every seven men will be diagnosed with this disease.
The key to overcoming it is getting checked often and checked early. Visiting your doctor for something of this kind is never fun, but it is necessary and again should not be taken lightly.
In only 5 years, Prince George has raised over $71,000 in support of Prostate Cancer. That amount does not include this year, and with over 100 riders this year, expect that number to jump.
If you know anyone who took part in the Ride For Dad, here is where you can support their cause:
