Even though the jolly red man has made his rounds, that doesn’t mean the holiday festivities stop!
The Railway and Forestry Museum is playing host to its annual Celebration of Lights starting today. It gives you a chance to walk through a winter wonderland, see thousands of Christmas lights, and enjoy some s’mores and hot dogs over the fire. To top it all off, they have the train running through their 8 acre property to enjoy everything the entire museum has to offer.
Today they asked if there were any volunteers within Prince George that were willing to lend a hand to shoveling their displays. They had let some staff enjoy the holidays with some much needed time off, but in turn were unfortunately unprepared for the downpour of snow. A few of their staff came in on their day off to help out, I gave some time to shovel the snow and a few others looked like they pulled up just as I was leaving.
If you are looking for family friendly winter activities, then you won’t want to miss the Celebration of Lights at the Railway and Forestry Museum! It is going from December 27-30 every evening from 4-7!
