It was the final day for the BC Ambulance Services Red and White Hunger Fight supporting the St. Vincent de Paul Society food bank.
The guys and gals volunteering their time had two fortunate things in terms of assistance. First off they received a load of vitamin D, and they had the help from two of Santa’s helpers! Okay okay, it was the kids of a paramedic, but they would definitely fit the part of Santa’s helpers because they were working their butts off to help support the food drive!
The paramedics who volunteered their time to this two weekend event were extremely overwhelmed with the support they received. They were especially happy to volunteer their time due to the fact that it is for a good cause. You don’t really think about it, but the paramedics have to deal with some pretty depressing, traumatic stuff throughout their careers, so things like this that brings a smile to everyone’s face is really rewarding for them.
A big thanks goes to those who volunteered their time to collect over 2o0 big boxes of food and around a thousand dollars in cash donations.
An even bigger thank you goes to you Prince George for such great generous donations towards this great cause!
