Soccer, bouncy castles, facepaint, oh my! Now from that you should be able to tell how much fun I had at the Ombrelle Active Start Soccer Fest today. I got to talk to Mike Benny of the River as he was on location, chatting up his adoring fans. Rick Kelly was also their cheering on his son, and although I didn’t see him I heard that Ron Polilo was also out having a great time on the fields. Soccer is such an easy fun sport, and even though its not quite as big as hockey in Canada yet, I think its well on its way to being there. Specially with how much fun all the kids had. The art gallery was there making, bean bags, Van Horlicks was there handing out balloons, and you could even get your face painted by a TimberWolf from UNBC. It was a great way to see how the community really came together to make this a fun day, even the firetrucks showed up!
