There was lots of excitement in the air as the contestants for the registered for The Ultimate Bridge Building Contest. Its the 18th annual year that APEG (Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of BC) have done this! The best part about this was that all ages where excited. Everyone from 2 to 82 entered to see how their bridge fared against the yellow crusher. Some of the bridges where beautifully coloured, covered in art and it was sad to see them buckle under the weight. One was a bright blue, and covered in butterflies, and boy she was happy to see it take on the crusher. That wasn’t the only cool thing going on either. They had a geotech table there as well so one could learn about the water currents and how it can erode pretty much anything. They had some geoscientists there explaining rocks, and a build your own catapult area! There was lots to do and it was super exciting to watch as the crowd got bigger and bigger! For more information go to their website here . While I was here it was super great to see Kelli, Satinder, and Darren all there for AuctionNet, right across from all the action
